How Safe Is Your Floor?
Slip accidents are not only far too common, they can also prove to be extremely costly. Employers, facilities managers and landlords are all responsible for the safety of their floor surfaces.
Face Consultants can carry out slip resistance testing or skid testing to the latest UK standards to ensure your floors are not posing a safety risk.
Slip Tests are an extremely important safety measure.
We can test a full range of floor surfaces either on samples in our own labs, or on a range of locations including hotel lobbys, sports centres, hospitals, railway platforms, runways, velodromes and more.

Performing a skid resistance test with the use of a pendulum.
We can carry out slip resistance testing to check compliance with current standards as well as slip risk assessments as part of due diligence or following an accident.
We can carry out skid testing to check compliance with BS EN 13036-4:2011 which explains how to test skid resistance on roads and airfields.
We also offer slip resistance / friction testing using the BOT–3000E Tribometer. Although this is mostly required for checking slip standards in the United States of America to the requirements of ANSI A137.1 and A326.3. We mainly use the BOT-3000E to carry out monitoring of floor friction for AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots).
The BOT is not used by us for slip testing in the United Kingdom as the ‘Pendulum’ method is preferred.
