Straight Edge Tests can be carried out to check for compliance with British Standards BS8204 Part 2 : 2003 to see if the SR1, SR2, or SR3 classifications are being achieved. These are usually but not always specified in retail units where tiling is to be received. We can also carry out a Straight Edge Tests using a 3m Straight Edge, on feet, for checking plus or minus deviations from a given number over a 3m length. For example, checking for no more than plus or minus 5mm under a 3m Straight Edge.
